Propagators ~ Start your cultivation in a propagator
Give your crop a good start with a Propagator
A propagator is available in several varieties. A propagator is ideal for germinating seeds or rooting cuttings. The perfect humidity is usually between 60 and 80%. The most common temperatures are between 20 and 25 degrees. Put the propagator in the sun or under a fluorescent beam and the rest is pretty much self-explanatory.
The high humidity that will occur inside the propagator makes it an ideal climate for young crops. Often these trays have rotary sliders at the top to still get fresh air, but also minimal moisture flow away. A propagator is available in different varieties, because the choice is so extensive with a propagator we have explained some examples below
The propagator from Garden HighPro
These are complete grow tents. Because there is little or no extraction in this propagator, the humidity stays nice and high. This propagator is available in sizes S to XL. This depends on how many seedlings you need to put away. Each size always gets an extra floor. Garden HighPro also has the necessary lamps from the S to XL. This makes the choice extra easy for you. It is advisable to put thermometers on each floor so you know what the current temperature and humidity is.
Garland windowsill propagator
This propagator consists of a set of three small propagators to place on the windowsill. The tray under the propagator makes it easy to water. There are fiber mats inside the propagator that retain moisture. This allows the plants to go a long time without watering.
The propagator is made of 100% recycled plastic.
A Propagator is also often used in combination with a heat mat. You place this under the propagator and then the mat will repel heat. These are often expandable with thermostats.
Heated propagator
These are basically the same plastic containers as normal propagators, only this propagator is equipped with a temperature sensor and a heated bottom. This ensures that there is minimal looking around the room and actually allows propagation in the coldest areas within the house. You have these from Garland, Hotbox, Autopot and quite a few other brands.
