Rhino Pro filter cloth
RhinoPro Filter Cloth - THE NAME IN CARBON FILTRATION
Use the filter cover to ensure optimal life and performance.
This cover traps large dust particles that clog the outer layer of carbon. This clogging causes your filter to saturate prematurely. It is recommended that you wash the cover without soap in the washing machine every six months. In extremely dusty areas, the filter cover should be washed more often. All filter covers are made to fit the outside of the filter.
Use
Make sure that the temperature in the room is max. 35°C and the relative humidity is kept below 75% at all times. Carbon absorbs moisture and thus takes up space that is actually meant for unwanted odors. You can pass air through the Rhino filter in 2 different ways: sucking or blowing. Both methods are equally effective and depend on the layout of the room.
The lifetime of the RC-412 activated carbon is not determined by a time limit but only by the amount of absorbed impurities (odors, moisture, dust, ....) over time. The rate of absorption by the activated carbon is determined by:
- Speed of airflow,
- The amount of impurities in the air
- Climatic conditions.
Quality
The worldwide recognized quality characteristic for activated carbon is an ID number according to the American ATSM test method. This ID number is simply stated the iodine content in milligrams absorbed by 1 gram of active carbon. The higher this number, the higher the absorption rate of the activated carbon is. The average ID number of the activated carbon used in carbon filters is 500mg/g ID. The carbon used for the Rhino filters is guaranteed to be 1050 mg/g ID or higher. The most recent test on 3 year old RC-412 showed that the ID factor was still 950 mg/g, which is incredibly high. This is why we state as a guideline that our filters have a lifespan of 3 years, taking into account all variables such as climate, air flow and dust level.
