Milwaukee C66 - Waterproof EC-Tester with Replaceable Probe
DIGITAL. SIMPLE. COMPACT.
Milwaukee's conductivity pen is designed for hydroponic and other growing methods to help you make sure your plants are getting the right amount of nutrients. Keep the EC within your target range to get better results.
The Milwaukee C66 is an IP65 waterproof, guided EC tester designed specifically for the hydroponic and agricultural markets. The EC meter with automatic temperature compensation and 1-point manual calibration has a range of 0.00 to 10.00 mS/cm.
The C66 has a replaceable electrode and is supplied in a case with calibration solution bags (M10031) and a screwdriver for calibration. The modular design allows for easy replacement of electrodes and batteries.
DESIGN FEATURES
- Measures conductivity and temperature with automatic temperature compensation.
- Ideal range for hydroponics (0.00 to 10.00 mS/cm).
- Units in mS/cm easily converted to ppm.
- Factory calibration with the possibility of recalibration if needed.
- Replaceable electrode.
- Fully waterproof according to IP65.
- 250 hours of continuous use (3 x 1.5V batteries included).
USE AND MAINTENANCE
EC electrodes may start to release nutrients over time. Rinse the probe with fresh tap water after each use to prevent build-up.
CONVERTING EC TO TDS
The Milwaukee EC pen, like all conductivity meters, provides a measurement of electrically charged ions in a solution and is an absolute measurement of conductivity.
EC is often converted to TDS in parts per million (ppm). There are several scales, such as the 500 scale, the 650 scale, and the 700 scale. However, the true PPM can only be determined by chemical analysis.
Your mS/cm reading can be converted to TDS (ppm) by approximation:
2,000 µS/cm = 2.0 mS/cm = 1000 ppm on .50 factor scale
2,000 µS/cm = 2.0 mS/cm = 1400 ppm on 442 scale or .70 factor scale
