Milwaukee MW802 PRO 3-in-1 - pH / EC / TDS Combo meter
TOUGH. LAB GRADE. PRO STANDARD.
The Milwaukee MW802 is a 3 in 1 meter combo meter. The MW802 has a large 2 line display and can measure pH as well as EC and TDS with just one probe!
The Milwaukee MW802 with a conductivity range up to 6mS/cm and a TDS range up to 4000 ppm is an ideal instrument for hydroponics and even drinking water measurements. This combo meter comes with the interchangeable probe SE600 to measure pH, conductivity and TDS. The electrode uses a fiber connection to reduce contamination when measuring fertilizer solutions. Both meters can be manually calibrated for pH, conductivity and TDS.
Simple, portable and robust. No more juggling multiple electrodes and wires. Automatic temperature compensation included.
DESIGN FEATURES
pH, conductivity / nutrient EC, TDS (ppm) with automatic temperature compensation.
A replaceable, integrated pH, EC, and TDS (ppm) probe with a single 3-foot cable for easy use (SE600 probe included).
A fiber coupling on the pH sensor to reduce contamination when measuring fertilizer solutions.
A light weight and portable size of only 5.8 ounces with battery and just over 3 inches wide.
A large easy-to-read display.
Factory calibration with a simple, one-point manual calibration for both pH and EC.
A reputation for rugged construction and long life.
Specialized design for hydroponic, aquaponic and greenhouse growers.
USE AND MAINTENANCE
The MW802 PRO tester contains both a pH and an EC electrode. Both require maintenance.
pH
All pH sensors have a limited lifespan and the response time gets longer as they age. Properly maintaining your pH pin tester will help you get fast, accurate results for longer. It is necessary to clean and condition the pH electrode before use!
TOP 4 TIPS FROM MILWAUKEE
- Always store with the cap full of buffer or storage liquid not water.
- Clean your tester regularly by immersion in cleaning solution.
- Calibrate after cleaning and/or storing before testing to correct for changes in the pH and EC sensor.
- Gently stir the tester into the sample for faster results.
EC
EC sensors are more robust, but can still be affected by residue buildup.
EC electrodes may start to release nutrients over time. Rinse the probe with fresh tap water after each use to prevent build-up.
CONVERTING EC TO TDS
The Milwaukee EC pen, like all conductivity meters, provides a measurement of electrically charged ions in a solution and is an absolute measurement of conductivity.
EC is often converted to TDS in parts per million (ppm). There are several scales, such as the 500 scale, the 650 scale, and the 700 scale. However, the true PPM can only be determined by chemical analysis.
Your mS/cm reading can be converted to TDS (ppm) by approximation:
2,000 µS/cm = 2.0 mS/cm = 1000 ppm on .50 factor scale
2,000 µS/cm = 2.0 mS/cm = 1400 ppm on 442 scale or .70 factor scale
