Milwaukee MC811 MAX 3-in-1 - pH / EC / Temperature Monitor
ACCURAAT. SIMPEL. BETROUWBAAR. 24/7 PH/EC/TEMP MONITORING.
The MC811 MAX Monitor automatically monitors and displays pH/EC/Temp levels. Simply calibrate the parameters and let the Milwaukee MAX Monitor do the rest. Know 24/7 what the pH and nutrient levels are on a continuous basis.
Three separate and illuminated displays allow you to see the measured values instantly at all times. Calibration is also very easy and works by adjusting three potentiometers. The MC811 has two calibration points for pH (pH4.01 and pH7.01) and one for EC.
The pH value is accurate to ± 0.2 pH, the EC value ± 2% and the temperature is accurate to ± 0.3°C (0.5°F) thanks to the two-point manual calibration.
The MC811 Max comes complete with suspension kit and electrode holder.
Design Features
- Quick easy to read current results with 3 large digital BACKLIT LCD readouts.

USE AND MAINTENANCE
The MC811 MAX tester contains both a pH and an EC electrode. Both require maintenance.
pH
All pH sensors have a limited lifespan and the response time gets longer as they age. Properly maintaining your pH pin tester will help you get fast, accurate results for longer. It is necessary to clean and condition the pH electrode before use!
TOP 4 TIPS FROM MILWAUKEE
- Always store with the cap full of buffer or storage liquid not water.
- Clean your tester regularly by immersion in cleaning solution.
- Calibrate after cleaning and/or storing before testing to correct for changes in the pH and EC sensor.
- Gently stir the tester into the sample for faster results.
EC
EC sensors are more robust, but can still be affected by residue buildup.
EC electrodes may start to release nutrients over time. Rinse the probe with fresh tap water after each use to prevent build-up.
CONVERTING EC TO TDS
The Milwaukee EC pen, like all conductivity meters, provides a measurement of electrically charged ions in a solution and is an absolute measurement of conductivity.
EC is often converted to TDS in parts per million (ppm). There are several scales, such as the 500 scale, the 650 scale, and the 700 scale. However, the true PPM can only be determined by chemical analysis.
Your mS/cm reading can be converted to TDS (ppm) by approximation:
2,000 µS/cm = 2.0 mS/cm = 1000 ppm on .50 factor scale
2,000 µS/cm = 2.0 mS/cm = 1400 ppm on 442 scale or .70 factor scale
