Description
Pokon Grass Seed Shade
With the Pokon Grass Seed Shade, you can restore or establish your lawn that is in the shade. The grass seed can be used for recovery after the winter months, for scarification or to repair bald spots. With dir product, your lawn will quickly grow back dense. In addition, the strong mixture makes the grass resistant to treading, a full sod in the shade prevents moss.
Instructions for sowing
- Preparation
- Dig up the soil well (+/- 30cm) and carefully remove all weeds with roots. Level the soil, allow it to sink in, rake it flat and crush clods to create a flat seed bed.
- Sowing
- For optimum germination it is important that the soil is not cold and that the outside temperature is higher than 15°C. Sow in moist soil in windless weather. If there has been no rain, first spray the soil. Sow the perimeter/outside edges of the lawn first. Then sow the lawn 2 times, once over the length and once over the width. This is the best way to distribute the grass seed. Sow the grass seed evenly and not too close together, this hinders the development.
- After sowing
- Lightly rake the grass seed (+/- 0.5 - 1 cm) and lightly roll or run it over to bring the seed into good contact with the soil. Keep the soil moist for the first 2 to 4 weeks by spraying evenly and carefully. If the top layer dries out, germination will fail or the small grass plants will die. Mow for the first time when the grass is about 8 to 10 inches long with a highly adjusted, sharp mower.
