What is Bio Nova K20%?
With the Bio Nova K20% you have a food grade mineral potassium addition, crops have a great need for potassium during the maturation phase. Potassium plays an important role in stomatal opening and closing, protein synthesis, enzyme function and osmosis regulation. All this results in higher quality fruit or flowers, improved firmness and better dry weight. In addition to the basic elements N (nitrogen) and P (phosphorus), K (potassium) is also crucial to any crop. Potassium makes cells firmer (water balance), promotes flowering and provides carbohydrate balance.
A potassium deficiency manifests itself when the plant does not open its stomata sufficiently for evaporation in order to cool down. This leads to chlorosis at the leaf margins, which develops into necrosis (death) at a later stage. An excess of potassium will inhibit the plant's development and subsequently darken it. An excess also hinders the uptake of other cations (Ca and Mg) which is caused by antagonistic effects.
How to use K20%?
The Bio Nova K20% should be applied when there are deficiencies and/or to mature and improve firmness. This product is mixable with all Bio Nova Fertilizers, Stimulators, minerals, universals & substrates and can be used as irrigation.
