Fertometer fertilization meter
Description
The Fertometer is a nutrition indicator for potted plants and tells you if you need to fertilize or not
This fertometer fertilizer indicator measures the EC value of the soil. If a pot plant does not grow and/or bloom properly, this is often caused by incorrect fertilization. Do you doubt whether you should add fertilizer or just added too much? The Fertometer puts an end to this uncertainty!
Use
Insert the pin of the Fertometer all the way into the ground and press the button.
| ||
Stop fertilizing: there is sufficient or even excess nutrient.
Fertilization is good: you may want to add fertilizer if necessary to maintain a supply of nutrients.
Attention! You must now fertilize: there is not enough nutrition in the potting soil. |
Condition for a good measurement
- To get a reliable measurement result it is very important that the potting soil is wet everywhere! If this is not the case, water it first and wait at least 30 minutes before measuring. A good idea is to water your plants in the morning and measure in the afternoon.
- Make sure the pen is clean when you start measuring.
- The best measuring results are obtained at temperatures of 18 to 23º C.
- It is important to clean the pen thoroughly after measuring and then store the measuring instrument in a dry place to avoid oxidation. If the metal of the pen has become dull, you can gently clean the pen with a damp pan sponge and dry it with a soft cloth.
- Never leave the Fertometer in the jar after measuring!
For larger pots, a number of measurements in different areas of the pot or tub is recommended.
Three to five measurements give a good picture of the total amount of nutrients present.
