After working closely with Philips Lighting on high-pressure sodium and metal halide systems, Dutch Lighting Innovations (DLI) has developed an LED product for air-conditioned spaces, multilayer growing systems and interlighting for plant growth: the DLI JOULE-Series 1000W - DE Dimmable luminaire. This innovative product combines the latest technologies with a deep understanding of greenhouse needs, creating an excellent lighting solution for both ornamental plants and hobby crops.

DLI fixtures are designed to deliver high levels of photosynthetic photoflux (PPF) values. The unique lens design ensures high uniform light distribution across the canopy.

High Performance Reflectors for Maximum Light Reflectivity

One of the distinguishing features of the DLI JOULE-Series 1000W is its advanced reflector. Made of electrochemically brightened aluminum with a purity of 99.99%, this reflector offers the highest total reflectance at wavelengths from 400 to 700 nm, providing excellent Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) reproduction. The integrated hemispherical reflectance exceeds 95%, with no iridescent colors in the slats. This means that every light beam is optimally utilized, resulting in uniform light distribution over the crop.

Robust Materials for Long-Lasting Performance

The JOULE-Series 1000W reflector is designed not only for maximum reflectivity, but also for durability. The aluminum base is anodized to minimize wear, then treated under vacuum with specially developed processes to maximize coating adhesion. This is followed by a super-pure reflective aluminum layer, which provides additional protection against damage. These dual oxide system layers are optimized for maximum visible reflectance enhancement and contribute to the long life and reliability of the luminaire.

Efficiency and Uniformity in Light Distribution

In developing the DLI JOULE-Series 1000W, the focus has always been on efficiency and uniformity. The unique reflector design ensures that each light beam is directed directly to the plants or hits the reflective aluminum layer only once before reaching the plant. This design minimizes hot spots on the canopy and promotes uniform plant growth. This uniformity in light distribution is critical to crop consistency and quality, and helps growers maximize their yields.

Flexibility and Adaptability

The DLI JOULE-Series 1000W was designed with the specific needs of growers in mind. The dimmable fixture offers flexibility in light intensity, allowing growers to adapt lighting to the growing conditions and development stage of their crops. This flexibility helps optimize energy costs and improve crop efficiency. In addition, the JOULE-Series 1000W can be used either as a stand-alone system or as part of a hybrid system, combining it with other lighting technologies such as HPS or LED Interlighting, to achieve the highest yields and efficiencies.

The fixtures are built in a slim waterproof design and the easy-hang system makes it easy to hang above the crop.

For low ceilings and greenhouses

This fixture has been optimized by DLI for low height areas and greenhouses. The efficiency and uniformity of the reflector guarantee that more than 95% of the light is transmitted to the plants.

	The unique position of the housings makes this fixture ideal for rooms with low ceilings where height is an issue. It is also ideal in greenhouses because less sunlight is intercepted.

	Efficiency and uniformity have been the main focus in the development of this reflector. Each ray of light coming from the lamp will either be transmitted directly to the plants or will hit the aluminum reflector once to get the highest possible efficiency of >95%.
