Canna Hydro Flores A & B - Hard Water ~ Base plant nutrition (Hydro Bloom)
A & B Hydro plant nutrition
Canna Hydro Flores contains all the essential elements your plant needs during the flowering phase of your hydro hobby grow. It is a fast-acting plant food that stimulates fruit formation and offers the plant a characteristic taste. Hydro Flroes is specially developed for hard water hydroponic growing systems.
Why A & B?
Canna Hydro Flores consists of an A part and a B part, which are separated for a reason. It's because when elements in part A and B are put together, they can clump together. The plant cannot absorb this. That's why you have to add the A component first and then the B component to the feed water.
Advantages
- Stimulates fruit formation and taste
- Can be absorbed immediately, which guarantees an abundant bloom
- Intended for hydro cultivation with hard water
Hard vs soft water
The composition of tap water is an important factor when growing in a hydro system. Among other things, water quality affects the availability and supply of nutrients. For example, hard water has more nutrients dissolved than soft water (e.g. magnesium and calcium) and requires more acid to regulate the pH. This affects the availability of the other nutrient elements.
Therefore, the Hydro nutrient line is tailored to the composition of tap water. It can be assumed that tap water with an EC of ≥ 0.4 is hard water.
Directions for use
- Shake bottle well before use
- A ready-to-use Canna Flores A&B nutrient solution is prepared by diluting the A&B concentrates in equal parts with tap water.
- First add Canna Flores A to the nutrient tank.
- Stir well and then add Canna Flores B.
- Fill the nutrient tank with tap water
- Add Canna Flores A&B to the nutrient tank in a ratio of 1:250 (40 ml A and 40 ml B per 10 liters).
- Stir well again and let the solution stand for a few hours
- The EC value of Canna Flores A&B dissolved in the tap water will then be between 1.8 - 2.7 mS (= EC value of the concentrate + EC value of the tap water)
- Recommended pH value: 5.2-6.2
- In case of intensive cultivation give the plants 1-3 times a day this nutrition and ensure a drainage between 10% and 20% and/or flush with tap water every 1-2 weeks. In general this amounts to 4-6 liters of nutrients per m² per day (assuming a densely grown meter).
- During the last week, give the plants only tap water. This will result in a cleaner end product. Change the nutrition regularly
- Change from Canna Vega A&B nutrition to Canna Flores A&B nutrition when flowering begins.
Because the buffering effect and the EC value of tap water vary greatly from place to place, it is possible that the above guidelines will not be met. Therefore, always check the pH and EC values. The pH value can be increased with Canna pH Plus and decreased with Canna pH Min growth or Canna pH Min flowering.
Further instructions
- For the growth phase of the plant Canna has developed another fertilizer, Hydro Vega.
- Store in a frost-free, closed and dark place (UV light breaks down the chelates present in the nutrient).
- Keep out of reach of children.
