Can-Fan Q-Max EC ~ Tube Fan with Silencer
With the Can-Fan Q-Max EC series you have a duct fan with an acoustic foam liner integrated into a damper for maximum sound absorption. The Can-Fan Q-Max EC series are equipped with the latest EC technology, EC technology ensures very high efficiency versus low power consumption. In combination with a Can EC controller (sold separately), you can control up to 10 EC fans simultaneously without being dependent on the amperage.
The Can-Fan Q-Max dampens both the inlet and outlet of the fan while simultaneously encapsulating the motor, resulting in whisper quiet operation and unparalleled airflow. The Can-Fan Q-Max EC series feature built-in suspension tabs, these built-in suspension tabs provide extra insulation and easy mounting.
To ensure safety, Can has applied a thermal protection in these fans, in case of overheating the fan switches itself off and after a cooling period it switches itself back on automatically.

What is the difference between an AC motor and an EC motor?
AC motors use mains frequency to turn and an external frequency converter(controller) to determine speed. An EC motor is a brushless, permanent magnet motor with built-in electronics that control the torque and speed of the motor.
