HOMEbox
HOMEbox the pioneers in portable indoor grow rooms
In the summer of 2001, there was a small but revolutionary discovery in the Netherlands. When the founder, Denis, first saw this innovation, he was so fascinated by it that he decided to build one himself. Although he was not an experienced craftsman and the necessary parts were hard to find, this was the beginning of an industry that would change how many viewed indoor gardening.
What began as a simple DIY project quickly grew into a company that recognized the need for such growing spaces. Denis discovered that he was not the only one running into such challenges, and so the first HOMEbox was created. Made of aluminum square profiles, Velcro and black and white film, it was a simple but effective solution for home growers.
Demand for these boxes grew quickly. Denis spent more time in his garage crafting these boxes than his regular job. It became clear that a professional approach was needed. As a result, Eastside Impex was founded, beginning the industrial production of portable indoor growing boxes.
In 2003 a big step was taken with a partner for industrial production and renting a space in Berlin. This functioned as both an office and warehouse. The popularity of HOMEbox continued to grow, especially after the positive reception at a horticultural fair where the HOMEbox 1.8 was exhibited. Over the years, HOMEbox continued to be optimized, with new formats and international expansion.
In 2008, HOMEbox successfully launched the Growlab (now HomeLab) for the US market and in 2009 their groundbreaking HOMEbox Modular series was released. Innovation reached further with the introduction of HOMEbox Evolution in 2014, followed by the HOMEbox Ambient and Vista series in 2016.
From a modest location in Berlin, HOMEbox now operates from a strategic central office, with inventory management provided by specialized professionals. With a passionate team of five full-time employees and two freelancers, HOMEbox sets the standard for innovation and excellence in the industry. Their commitment to continuous improvement and customer service sets them apart as one of the leading indoor grow room suppliers worldwide.
